A case of PANS and homeopathic mold detox in 7 y/o girl.
A mom brought her little girl to see me a few months back for symptoms associated with PANS/PANDAS.
After taking the full case, it seemed likely that the culprit of the symptoms in this case was long term exposure to household mold. There was no history of strep, and tests had come back negative. A negative strep test does not necessarily mean that strep is not an underlying factor in the case, as family history of strep can still be important, negatively impacting the person.
In this particular case however, it seemed likely that mold toxicity was 'blocking' any progress from my previous prescriptions in the case.
I prescribed a combination of homeopathic Aspergilles niger and a constitutional (personalized remedy prescription), to be taken multiple times weekly during the course of 4 weeks. Giving the Asp. nig. was the only way to determine whether mold, as suspected, was in fact the culprit in the case. If not, we would not see any, or minimal, results over the course of 4 weeks. When the remedy is incorrect and not resonating on an energetic level in the patient, we have to investigate further and look for a different infectious trigger.
Our 7 y/o patient responded positively to the remedies from the very start of her remedy protocol. Fear of the dark, bedwetting, night terrors, angry outbursts, dramatically reduced by week 2, and near to gone by the 4th week.
We continued with homeopathic mold detox and a few other supportive homeopathic remedies, specific to the case, over the following 5 months to eliminate any mold residue and strengthen the child's immune system. She has been doing very very well since starting homeopathy. No re-laps of symptoms. Happy and thriving.
Homeopathy is such a gentle and profound therapy for addressing PANS/PANDAS, unlike any other treatment option available, to my knowledge. These are complex cases to work with and can require many months of homeopathic treatment before reaching the level of improvement described in this case. Some times, the culprit(s) are not as obvious and needs testing and investigating on behalf of the homeopath before the appropriate remedy combination is established to successfully move the case forward to the desired goal.
